    • Nimi Popat

Give it a try Anne. Try using cold water on your hair length and medium warm water on your scalp. This too would make a huge difference within few weeks. Trust me on that. !!!

Hey Monica, Ya I have been there, done that. Even I had that habit but since I started using mild shampoo and conditioner my hair have become really healthy and strong than they were before. Most importantly they have become really frizz free. Glad I could help. Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Brenda, I used to have the same problem. I wold suggest if you cannot quit washing your hair daily then opt for mild shampoos without sulphate, parabens and silicones. ๐Ÿ™‚

As much as I’d love to brush my hair after it’s dry, curly hair doesn’t work that way… that’s actually asking for a very comedic disaster lol. I have started using a cotton shirt to dry my hair though, and it really does work wonders. My hair has a mind of its own I swear. Thanks for sharing!

    • Nimi Popat

I agree each and everyone has really different hair of its own kind… Actually that’s what I love about it. and I completely agree drying hair with t-shirt rather that the towel really helps in your hair’s overall health. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • La French Connection

I’m not doing too bad but I have to admit I do wash my hair with hot water. It’s super long so I usually take great care of it but I just can’t use cold water (especially now)…
Great article with lots of good tips.

Good list of hair care tips. Oftentimes we’re not aware that we do damages our hair. I wonder why you can’t use products with (more?) protein content? Isn’t protein good for your hair?

Great! Just what i badly need, a hair care tips! I’m really having trouble keeping my hair healthy considering that i have a very thin hair strands.

    Would follow these tips really.

Great and comprehensive list of ways to take care of your hair. I am glad you included nutrition because I have always believed that nutrition should be the emphasis rather than the practice of many others who focus ONLY on external solutions (the use of shampoos, conditioners, and others).

Great tips. In India we us home remedies involving curry leaves and hibiscus flower as well. Curry leaves and hibiscus flowers are added to coconut hair oil and kept asode till they start leaching into the oil. That hair oil is applied on hair and helps condition the hair and also making it strong and reduce hairfall
A hair pack made of neem leaves is also applied regularly to reduce hairfall

I absolutely love your hair care tips. I agree with you that guys are more obsessed than us when it comes to their hair. Anyway, I do agree with you that washing hair with warm water is not good. I used to do it before and my scalp became dry. Meanwhile, I learned from you that I shouldn’t step out with wet hair. How I wish I could avoid it. I usually have to rush for work. Thanks for a great post.

I love to spray macadamia oil into my hair, after washing it. It makes it so shiny and it smells wonderful after. I know that you have to wash your hair with cold water, but I can’t really do that. I hate cold water, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚
