Have you tried using rosemary water for hair yet?
If you have been on this hair blog before, you know how much I love my hair rinses. I personally never skip hair rinse on my wash day. And rosemary water is slowly becoming one of my favorite hair rinses.
The reason is simple because rosemary water is super effective to boost hair growth, darken your gray hair, and combat hair loss. Plus, it makes your hair smell divine.
I sometimes just make this hair rinse to use after my workouts. Just to make my hair smell nice and fresh.
Benefits of Rosemary Water For Hair
As per a study conducted, rosemary was proven equally effective as minoxidil to treat severe hair fall problems. It not only helps control hair shedding but also helps in faster hair regrowth and growth, increasing hair volume and treating minor scalp infections.
How To Make Rosemary Hair Rinse?
Rosemary hair rinse is fairly easy to make and even easier to use.
I make it like any other hair rinses.
- Rosemary leaves
- Mineral water
Boil 4 cups of mineral water. We are using mineral water here to get maximum benefits from this decoction and so that we don’t accidentally use hard water that will hamper our scalp’s pH.
Add a couple of rosemary leaves to it, cover the pot so the oils and nutrients stay as intact as possible.
Let it boil for 7-8 minutes. Some people prefer boiling it until half of the water is reduced and you achieve the darker color of the decoction. But I prefer to boil it for just 7-8 minutes.
Then switch off the flame, let the pot stay covered for half an hour. And then open the lid.
Sieve the water. You now have rosemary tea rinse ready to be used.
At this point, your whole house must have been transformed into a spa with the best aroma.
How To Use Rosemary Tea For Hair The Right Way?
To use this rosemary tea, simply wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and use a hair conditioner.
After rinsing the conditioner, just pour this rosemary water on your hair and scalp. I personally use a spray bottle for ease. But my sister simply takes the rinse in the shower and pours it onto her head.
Let this rosemary tea stay on your hair. Don’t rinse it off.
Don’t worry I use it all the time, it is completely safe.
You can follow it up with serum if you like.
