McArthur Skincare with Papaya(Pawpaw) Extract for Irritated Scalp and Dry Skin Review!!!

How are you today??? Few days back, I wrote a post on how to take care of your hair in winter, where I mentioned, how my scalp becomes itchy and flaky in winter. I knew most of you might have same trouble dealing with itchy scalp. So, I wanted to find hair products that could solve these problems. That’s when I found about McArthur Skincare who recently refreshed their brand name from McArthur Natural Products.

As I mentioned earlier, my scalp became flaky and itchy and hence, I wanted something that would soothe my scalp. Also, my skin became dryer and it was the perfect time to try the hydrating facial cream.

Although everything looked really promising on their store, I went ahead and chose these

McArthur Scalp Care Shampoo for Irritated Scalp Review

The shampoo comes in round bottle which looks really neat and all the necessary details are mentioned on it. It says it contains 30% Papaya extract which is quite good. The shampoo is transparent gel in texture with light pale yellow color. Since, they don’t add any artificial smell to it, it has a natural light but a bit bitter smell. It’s really mild though and goes away in couple of minutes.

To use this shampoo you need to apply it to your scalp and let it stay for round 5 to 10  minutes to let it treat your irritated scalp. Then rinse it off with normal water and condition as usual.

After the first try itself, the itchiness is almost gone but it takes couple of times to completely treat your flakiness depending on its severity.  Since, my itchiness was gone just after one try, I gave the shampoo to a friend of mine who has itchy scalp. For her, the itchiness was in control and  the flakiness is considerably reduced. She is loving this shampoo to the core.

McArthur Scalp Care Conditioner for Irritated Scalp Review

Along with the shampoo, I tried the conditioner. The conditioner comes in same bottle with minimalist design and all the details mentioned on the pack. However, the conditioner contains only 2% of Papaya extracts. The conditioner is white and thick conditioner which has light but again bitter smell. The smell again goes as you rinse it off.

The conditioner makes hair soft and bit manageable. But does not fight frizz to a great extent. Since, it’s a conditioner meant for irritated scalp, I didn’t expect it to combat frizziness. The conditioner however, helped in detangling.

McArthur Hydrating Facial Cream Review

The hydrating facial cream comes in same bottle with all the details mentioned on the package. It contains 25% Papaya extract. I used this  hydrating facial cream twice a day, once in the morning and once at night during my CTM routine.

The cream is normal white colored facial cream which is neither too thick nor runny. I took little quantity and it was enough to cover my face and neck. The cream took time to show results. After using it religiously for 10-12 days, I started to notice, my skin became soft and my dark circles were reducing. I loved its results.

Using this cream, it made me realize that Papaya works great for my skin and since then, I have been trying lots of face masks with papaya and trust me, it’s working super awesome.

Overall Experience with McArthur Skincare

The packaging of these products is super cute and travel friendly. They reached me within 20 days and the products were safe and intact. I didn’t have to pay any customs and I am super happy about it.

Other than the smell of the shampoo and conditioner, I don’t have any complaints. Well, the shampoos and conditioners that are meant for treating irritated scalps actually have bitter smells and these have lighter smell compared to others.
