It was recommended by one of my subscribers to try and a close friend. Along with this Oriflame hair mask I also picked up Oriflame hot oil.

Today I will share my two cents on this baby. Without further delay, let’s just jump right into it.

Oriflame Milk and Honey Gold Hair Mask comes in plastic tub with beautiful golden cap. It is further protected with a golden foil. The cap is spill-proof but the big size makes it less ideal for travelling.

The mask has a creamy consistency and is loaded with signature Oriflame fragrance. It spreads nicely and is very easy to rinse off too.

The smell of this mask is really pleasant and you will love your hair even more because of this fragrance. It is not too strong but if you have a sensitive nose then this might annoy you a bit.

As for me, I found it pleasant.

Pricing and Shelf Life: It is priced Rs. 499 for 250 gms and has shelf life of 3 years. I got it on great discount from my friend since she is a consultant for the brand. So, it was a steal deal.

Ingredients: Its really sad but the brand haven’t mentioned ingredients on the pack. This is one of the biggest turn offs for me while buying a product.

How To Use Oriflame Milk And Honey Hair Mask?

Basically I use it in different ways. You can pick one to find out which one works best for your hair.

1. Applied As Normal Deep Conditioning Mask

I started off by de-tangling my hair.

Then using my fingers, I began applying this mask in generous quantity concentrating only on my hair length. I made sure that this mask doesn’t touch my scalp, since the ingredient list was missing and didn’t want to disturb the pH level of my scalp.

After leaving the mask on for 40 mins, I rinsed it off with water. This time I skipped shampoo. It made my hair soft and frizz-free.

But since I was lazy enough to not wear my shower cap, the mask dried and took lot of water, 20 minutes of my life and great level of patience to finally get out of my hair.

I actually thought it would be stuck to my hair like slime or banana hair mask. But by God’s grace it finally got rinsed off.

Lesson learnt – Always wear your shower cap after you apply any hair mask.

2. As a Leave-in Conditioner

After a week, I thought lets mix things up. So this time, I used it as a leave-in conditioner.

I took 2 tsp of Oriflame Milk and Honey hair mask and applied it on my damp hair. Then I combed my hair straight for a minute with my wide toothed comb. Left it on and moved onto my chores.

Results were really good this time too.

My hair felt manageable, appeared straight and imparted shine. But the biggest downside of his treatment was that my hair started getting dirty and sticky by the end of the next day.

I would recommend this way, only if you have really dry hair. Otherwise, it is not worth the effort.

3. I Used It To Do Hair Spa

This one is where I finally succeeded in figuring out how it works best.

To use it, I oiled my hair with hibiscus oil half hour before applying the mask. Then I washed my hair as usual.

After my sls-free shampoo session, I applied this mask to my hair in generous quantity and kept it just for 15 mins. After 15 minutes, I gave my hair a little steam using my thermal cap to help the mask penetrate better into my hair shafts. Then I rinsed it using cold water.

I made sure to not use hard water but mineral water.

This time my hair felt really beautiful, soft and to my surprise quiet straight.

Note : Steaming is an additional step for better results and is entirely optional. If you are low on time you can definitely skip it.

Pros

  • Generous quantity
  • Consists of milk and honey which are really good for your hair
  • Nourishes hair well
  • Makes hair manageable, smooth and prevents tangling
  • Pleasant smell
  • Makes hair straight.

Cons

  • The tub packing is a bit unhygenic
  • Ingredients not mentioned
  • Makes hair grease afterwards if used as leave-in or not rinsed thoroughly
  • Not easily available in market.
  • Not cruelty-free
  • Not vegan

Where To Buy Oriflame Milk And Honey Hair Mask?

If you want to buy this baby, you can consult an Oriflame member or you can also check on Amazon. However, I don’t recommend this brand anymore, since I have opted for a cruelty-free route on my hair journey. And if like me you are wiling to try some other cruelty-free alternatives, you can check these out:

Yay or Nay?

I have strong mixed feelings for this Oriflame milk and honey hair mask.

It works well to hydrate dry hair but the results aren’t long lasting and the brand isn’t cruelty-free either. So I leave it at your best judgement.

Swagata, go ahead and feel free to use it. It won't harm your hair. But if you have really dry hair, you should definitely try this hair mask made up of banana, yogurt, honey and coconut oil. IT will transform your hair within 2 hours. https://haircaresquare.com/transform-your-hair-with-diy-hair-care-mask/
