It is a shampoo which was launched in India for women who used to oil their hair daily as a method of clarifying and removing excess oils.
Appearance
It comes in a bottle of 1000 ml which is basically transparent and you can check out the product and its consistency. It has a twisted cap and its actually pretty easy to use. The big size makes it a bit difficult to carry around while travelling.

Halo nourishing shampoo is a thick textured shampoo which looks like egg yolk but trust me it does not smell anything like egg. It has pleasant fruity kinda smell which stays on your hair after washing for about half an hour. The smell is not that strong to trouble even those with sensitive noses.

Yay or Nay?
Definitely. I am using it for past three months whenever I feel the need for detoxifying my hair and scalp.
Overall Halo shampoo is good for your hair if you use it in moderation and as a clarifying shampoo to remove build-up. Halo shampoo is bad for your hair if you start washing your hair with it daily, its gonna cause protein overload and its clarifying formulation will leave you with dry and damaged hair.
So, consider these points above before making a purchase.

I personally won’t. It is a good clarifying shampoo and I would only use it once or twice a month to remove buildup from other hair products. π
Can I use this halo shampoo twice a week..?
Don’t use it regularly it is a good clarifying shampoo. Use it just once a month for clarifying purpose. For your oily hair you can check out this post: https://www.haircaresquare.com/how-to-get-rid-of-oily-scalp-and-greasy-hair/

Why it isn’t well for regular use? My hair is dull rough dry so which shampoo n conditioner should i choose?
Hi Bharat, you should never shampoo your hair daily. This results in stripping off natural oils from your scalp. And since this is a clarifying shampoo, using it twice is month is more than enough. It helps in removing build up. Other times, when you wash your hair use a shampoo that is actually suitable for your hair type. Here is a quick post that will help you find the perfect shampoo for your hair.

Hi Himi, If you are facing excessive hair fall, you should try this diy hair oil recipe for hairfall. It works really great. Plus try incorporating Carrots, tomatoes and romainine lettuce in your diet. These will help you combat your hair fall and also help you regrow your hair. I would suggest to also use a clarifying shampoo twice a month. This will surely help.
Here is the recipe to my personal fav diy hair oil for hairfall. It contains onions but when mixed with the oils, it won’t afffect your eyes or nose.

Hi Ranjani, it works great as a clarifying shampoo. If you have hair fall, try adding few drops of tea tree oil to your shampoo. It gives awesome tips.

Great product review! I hope they have this in the Philippines. I know the right person to recommend it to. Eggs really does work wonders! Thanks for sharing π
Charm, Colored hair tends to become more dry and using a clarifying shampoo will make your hair much dry. You should currently focus on Conditioning and pampering your hair. Go for a hair spa treatment or do one at home. Check out this post https://www.haircaresquare.com/how-to-do-hair-spa-at-home/
Hey Klaudia, it means Rupees (Indian Currency π ) I agree eggs makes hair so beautiful and shiny !!!
Sabine, this shampoo doesn’t make you feel like you are putting an egg in your hair but actually gives you the advantages of it. !!!
Yes Kara, this product is a gold mine. But you know you can add not only eggs but different things to your shampoo and it will solve all your hair problems. Check out this post https://www.haircaresquare.com/make-your-own-shampoo/

Claire honestly, you will be surprised to know that there are still 30 to 40 % people who prefer going natural when it comes to hair !!!
I am glad it helped dear !!! And Eggs are super effective when it comes to hair care !!!
Lol Xavier π This is exactly what most of my guy friends are like… But trust me using the right kind of shampoo makes a lot of difference !!!
Yes, the eggs in the shampoo gives much better results compared to other clarifying shampoos!!!
i hope you find it in Philippines, this is a great product. But in case you don’t then any other clarifying shampoo will do the trick !!!
This is very promising product! I believe using of natural component of the egg in shampoo impressed me.
Taken your word of recommendation, I hope this will reach Philippines shores soon. I’m sure a lot will benefit from this.
cheers!
I use clarifying shampoo also whenever I feel that my hair gets too oily even with all the washing. I don’t know of any brands we have here that has egg in the ingredients. Having it seems more effective. I hope we’d have that here too. π
I’m pretty basic with shampoo myself. As long as it smells nice, it’s fine for me Haha. But this one sounds very complete and specific. I’ll definitely recommend it. So in the end, smashing an egg on top of the head is healthy for the hair !
Never heard about egg yolk for hair. Thanks for that truly informative post about this specific treatment for falling hair. As we grow older, that’s one thing we want to avoid and we find ways to prevent or delay hair fall. Might try this one of these days and see the results.
I am currently struggling with dry hair because of hair colors and I’m in search of a good shampoo to nourish my hair. Your review makes this product effective and I hope can find this one here in the Philippines.
This is the first time I’ve heard of such shampoo. I don’t think this is available in the Philippines though. Your post remind me of what my great aunts tell me that during their time they use natural ingredients as shampoo or soap. I’m not surprised that this shampoo uses egg proteins to revitalize our hair.
I think I need that shampoo because I am suffering from hair fall and I need something that would help me strengthen my hair. I’m in the Philippines though so I am not sure if Halo is available here, but I think it’s worth looking into. It’s okay if I don’t use it everyday, because I don’t really shampoo my hair everyday, I shampoo at least 3x a week then everyday I use conditioner.
Great review , valuable information . But what is the price ? I know Rs. 280 , what is RS ??? Eggs are anyway good for the hair , I have used some home made hair masks made from eggs , leaves your hair shiny and silky .
I’ve heard a lot about the benefits of eggs for your hair. It’s a bit strange to me to put an egg in your hair. But if it’s working, why not? I have to try this out, you really convinced me!
XO Sabine
Loved your in depth review! I’ve heard of adding eggs to conditioner but never shampoo. This is pretty interesting and would be great for someone who needs more protein in their hair
