It is also a favorite hair care ingredient of mine. It further comes with fatty acids and vitamins, all of which are essential for the hair. In this post, I will introduce a few hair masks using yogurt for hair growth and treating damaged hair. Before going to the methods to use yogurt, let’s us check out why it is useful for hair first.

Yogurt consists of anti-fungal properties, which is excellent for removing dandruff. It additionally keeps the hair moisturized for longer, thus helping calm frizz. It also helps improve the scalp health and decrease clogged hair follicles, which in turn controls hair fall. Along with that, it possesses cooling effect that helps ease an aggravated scalp. Furthermore, it can regulate the production of sebum to balance the scalp’s pH levels.

1. Yogurt And Honey Hair Mask

• Yogurt – ½ cup
• Honey – one teaspoon
• Apple cider vinegar – one teaspoon

Direction: In one bowl, mix all the above components to create a paste. Apply this mixture to your overall hair and leave it on for half an hour. After that, use a mild shampoo to remove it. Use this way two times weekly.

2. Aloe Vera And Yogurt Hair Mask

3. Coconut Milk And Yogurt Hair Mask

• Yogurt – one cup
• Olive oil – one tablespoon
• Lemon juice – one tablespoon
• Water – two cups

Direction: In a bowl, mix the yogurt and oil well and keep it aside. In a jug, combine the water and lemon juice. Use shampoo to wash your hair and remove the excess water. Start applying this mask to the damp hair and wait for twenty minutes. After that, rinse it by using cool or lukewarm water. Finally, rinse your hair using the lemon water. Follow this remedy twice weekly.
