Recently I went for grocery shopping and the Sunsilk lusciously thick and long shampoo bottle really caught my fancy. It was like its beautiful pretty pink bottle was calling out to me.
I knew I had to try it out and so I did.
And after emptying an entire bottle of this Sunsilk pink shampoo, I am sharing my in-depth review of how it fared for me.
Let’s get to it 🙂
About the Brand: Sunsilk
Sunsilk is a hair care brand under Unilever Group. It has been in business for decades now. You can read more about them here.
Sunsilk Lusciously Thick And Long Shampoo Review
It is a brand that needs no introduction. In every family, I believe there is at least one family member who have used their shampoo once in their life. Some of my close friends swear by it while some hate it.
I have always had a soft spot for their hair products.
Appearance: As I said above, the pink bottle really caught my fancy. The pink color appealed the girly girl in me to try it out. So I couldn’t resist and tried it.
The Sunsilk pink shampoo looks really gorgeous and girly and travels friendly . All the necessary details are well mentioned on the packaging. The shampoo is a little runny compared to other shampoos I have tried but it made quite a good lather to clean my hair in one go.
Main Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Silicone, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Yogurt Powder
Directions to use: I diluted the shampoo in water and then washed my hair with it as usual.
My Experience using the Sunsilk Pink Shampoo
The shampoo was quite runny for me. But the good thing was it has a wonderful fragrance that lasted for half an hour after rinsing.
The shampoo was good enough to clean my hair in one go. I, however, felt that it made my hair dry and I had to go running to my conditioner to tame my frizzy hair. It cleans well in one go and leaves hair fresh.
But sadly that’s all it did for me and nothing else.
So you can try this Sunsilk lusciously thick and long shampoo, but don’t use it daily because it contains a lot of harmful ingredients in it. It certainly is not a mild shampoo and you will need a good hydrating hair conditioner if you are from dry hair family.

Yay or Nay?
I like how it looks and cleans my hair. But it fails to nourish my dry hair so I won’t be picking it up again. You can give it a try but make sure to follow it up with a good hair conditioner.
Don’t get me wrong, the shampoo is good and does leave you with clean hair and scalp with a nice lingering fragrance for a while. But other than that it rarely does anything else that that.
