How To Make Fenugreek Oil From Its Seeds At Home?
1.Take fenugreek seeds and grind them to make powder.
2.Now in a glass jar, add the fenugreek powder.
3.Take cold pressed olive oil and heat it using double boiler method. Make sure you don’t heat the oil directly. That is because it will lose its important nutrients if you heat it directly. Now pour this hot oil onto the powder and mix it well using a spoon or a spatula or just anything of your choice and let it infuse for the next 48 hours.
4.After 48 hours, strain the oil and store it in a cool and dark place for a month. Now your oil is ready to be used.
How To Use Fenugreek Oil The Right Way?
After you are done making the oil, just use it like your normal hair oil. For best results, every time you apply again heat it a bit using double boiler method for enhancing its nutrients and a good hot oil treatment at the same time.
For applying the oil, just part your hair in sections and apply it using your fingers or a cotton ball and make sure to cover your scalp and hair length effectively. Massage slowly and softly using your fingertips. Do not use your nails while massaging. Leave at least for 30 minutes.
Then give some steam before shampooing so the oil gets absorbed better into your scalp. For steaming, I use my thermal steam cap but you can also go ahead with a hot towel or a napkin.

Notes To Keep In Mind
- The recipe can be reduced or doubled as per your need.
- Don’t store it for more than a month.
- The oil has a bitter smell because of fenugreek, so you can add a few drops of rosemary or lavender essential oil to it.
- Don’t keep this oil on your hair overnight because the bitter smell than gets a little difficult to get washed off.
For better results, along with the fenugreek oil, do inversion method while you massage your hair, use wooden comb to brush your hair daily and practice balayam. Also, drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet.
