This Sunsilk perfect straight shampoo tempted me because it claims to reward you with straight hair. And being someone with extremely dry hair that barely stays even wavy, I was very hopeful.
After every wash, no matter the shampoo or conditioner, my hair looks like I have some jungly ghas growing on my head.

The shampoo bottle is super stylish with its purple color, its perfect flip-shut packaging with details all the details mentioned using the perfect fonts. (Yup, I am nerdy, I like fonts 🙂 )
The Sunsilk purple shampoo has neither too runny nor a thicker consistency. It lands somewhere in the middle of the two and has a floral fragrance to it. The fragrance, however, isn’t too sweet or harsh to trouble your noses but it stays with you after every wash for a couple of hours.

To use Sunsilk perfect straight shampoo the right way, follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Simply wet your hair and scalp nicely.
- Take the amount of Sunsilk purple shampoo as per your hair length. For my shoulder-length hair, I use a coin-sized quantity.
- Due to SLS being one of its active ingredients the shampoo lathers well. I have a habit of oiling my hair before every wash and the shampoo leaves my hair spotless from my pre-poo treatment.
- Massage the shampoo on your wet hair for a minute and rinse it off with normal water.
- If you live in a place where you are bound to use hard water, try using some neem leaves to protect your hair while washing.

My Experience Using Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo
After using the entire bottle of this Sunsilk perfect straight shampoo, I feel my hair does feel a bit better. But not extremely straight and nourished though. After accompanying it with the conditioner from the same range, my hair does feel frizz-free and smooth.
It also adds a nice shine to my hair.
However, I felt that it should have been better. I expected more from this range since it was made by a straight hair expert.
Don’t get me wrong, the shampoo is good. It does make hair soft and minimizes frizz but don’t invest in it expecting the look of sleek straight hair. After all its called Perfect Straight.

Answer: I highly doubt it. It works fine on dry hair but I would advise you to use it on your recently smoothened hair. Especially if your hair is falling out after smoothening, then definitely I wouldn’t suggest this shampoo.
