If you are a regular reader here at this hair blog, then you might already know, I adore hair oils and Ayurveda. That’s the primary motive of my blog to spread awareness about these wonderful things gifted to us by nature.
If you have got a hair or health problem, we’ve got an all-natural solution for you!
And continuing our natural journey, I am here with another amazing and unique ingredient. I think that you might not have been aware of before. Its called Thumba.
What is Thumba?
Thumba is a desert fruit commonly known as the bitter apple. Its oil is extracted from the seeds of the Thumba plant. This oil is well known in Ayurveda for its quicker hair regrowth properties. It claims that it speeds up the growth as well as regrowth process by 70%. It also works well for hair fall, scalp infections, dandruff, grey hair, and alopecia.
You know after reading all these claims, I had to try this oil.
Nature Sure Thumba Hair Oil Review
Honestly, the only reason I picked up this oil is because of that claim that said that it triggers hair regrowth and hair growth cycle by 70%. A lot of you guys constantly ask me in our Reader’s Queries Section for a good product recommendation for hair regrowth and alopecia. So I was intrigued by its claims.
Appearance: the oil comes in regular Nature Sure packaging,i.e., beautiful green bottle with a flip shut cap that shuts tightly. The bottle looks nice and is travel-friendly.
The oil has a normal to thick consistency and it provides wonderful nourishment to those dry locks. It, however, has a fragrance of sesame oil and mustard oil combined. And it honestly is not a pleasant smell in my opinion.
Price: Rs.340 for 110ml.
My Experience Using Thumba Oil By Nature Sure
I am someone who oils her hair religiously. No matter what. So I go through hair oil bottles real quick. Plus 28 inches long hair is an added factor here. I emptied this bottle within 20 days and here I am sharing how my journey was with this Thumba oil.
The moment you open the bottle, you are greeted by the mild fragrance of oils. Which as I mentioned above, I am not a big fan of it. But the fragrance is not that strong or overpowering and it won’t trouble you even if you have a sensitive nose.
The oil is on the thicker side. It nourished my hair and scalp well. I noticed that it helped with my itchy scalp and dry hair the most. However, I do not have severe hair fall, so I can’t comment on that. But my hair grew 2 inches in 20 days. Which I feel is good because my hair grows 2 inches in a month.

Overall I would say that if you have dandruff and your hair takes way longer to grow then this can be a good option to consider. cannot comment on hair fall but my hair fall went from 100 to 70 strands per day. Also, I didn’t notice any big change in my grey hair.
