Have you used any hair tonic to trigger your hair growth?

I used this scalp and hair tonic a year back. I ordered in from That1Too and I promised you its detailed review. Last night while going through your hair queries, I got an email asking review of this particular product and it hit me, that somehow I forgot to share my detailed review with you.

Well better late than never. Let’s talk more about this hair tonic.

About The Brand: Organic Mill

Founded by Shreni Kashyeb in 2015, Organic Mill started with an aim to spread awareness about organic products in a world dominated by toxic chemicals, when it comes to the beauty industry.

Organic Mill Hair+Scalp Tonic

Appearance: This beautiful golden mustard color hair tonic by Organic Mill comes in a transparent plastic bottle that has a flip open cap. The bottle, however, is not very travel-friendly.

The oil has a texture that is neither very light nor too thick. But it glides on smoothly and you require very less quantity to cover your entire hair length. The oil being less sticky won’t give you any breakouts or you won’t feel that it’s messy or extremely oily. Its the perfect summer hair oil and even for people with oily or greasy hair.

Price and shelf life: Rs.350 for 200 ml and has a shelf life of 9 months. But it has an additional instruction that says to use it within 6 months from opening the bottle.

Ingredients: Argan, Rosemary, Lavender , Peppermint, Olive oil

How to use hair tonic?: Squeeze oil from the bottle according to your hair length, heat it and massage on your scalp with your fingertips concentrating well on hair length.

My Experience using Organic Mill Hair Tonic

As soon as I opened the bottle a very pleasant essential oils fragrance greeted my nose. I instantly fell for this baby. The essential oils fragrance was so soothing that it just ended the troubles on my day within seconds.

I am one of those people who hate oiling because of the messiness it creates. But this oil being lightweight didn’t bother me. The oil gets rinsed off in one go too leaving your hair soft and silky. I loved flaunting my hair when I used this particular hair tonic.

It does calms down the itchy scalp, makes hair manageable and leaves hair frizz-free. However, I didn’t see any huge difference in my hair growth or hair fall.

Pros

  • Smells wonderful
  • Natural
  • Contains essential oils
  • Lightweight hair oil
  • Makes hair soft and smooth
  • Tames frizz
  • Controls dandruff to a certain extent

Cons

  • Not available in local stores yet
  • The bottle isn’t travel-friendly
  • The detailed ingredients list is missing
HCS Rating

Summary

Good hair oil that leaves your hair super soft and calms your itchy scalp.
