Since I started Reader’s Queries section, I got a lot of requests to share hair products that are natural and chemical free. Ma Earth Botanicals is one such brand. I recently tried few products from Ma Earth Botanicals. The products are completely natural and free of all the harsh chemicals (that I absolutely hate) like SLS, Parabens, mineral oils and others.

Packaging: The hair cleanser comes in a rectangular transparent bottle with a silver cap. The packaging is quite simple yet good and travel-friendly.

The cleanser comes in a gel like consistency and has a really soothing fragrance of essential oils which goes away few minutes after you wash your hair. I am a big fan of essential oils and personally loved the fragrance but it might be a bit strong for some.

Ingredients & Product Claims:

Directions for use: Dilute one capful in half cup water and massage lightly onto wet hair and leave for two minutes. Rinse well.

Price and Shelf Life: This cleanser costs Rs.550 for 100 ml and has a shelf life of 18 months.

My Experience Using Ma Earth Botanicals Hair Cleanser

As I mentioned above, the cleanser has a gel-like consistency which has a really soothing fragrance. Since it is SLS free it does not lather as much as your regular shampoo that contains SLS. But it does leave your hair clean and fresh in one go but you might need to use more quantity if you are washing your oiled hair.As you know I oil my hair religiously. So, I had to shampoo twice to get the oil removed completely. The only thing I didn’t like is that I couldn’t ditch the conditioner afterward.

Packaging: The conditioner comes more or less in the same bottle which is quite travel-friendly.

The conditioner is white in color and bit runny compared to others I have used till date.

Ingredients & Product Claims:

Price and Shelf Life: This conditioner costs Rs.550 for 100 ml and has a shelf life of 18 months.

Directions for use: After cleansing, apply a small amount of conditioner along with the length of the wet hair. Leave it on for a minute. Rinse thoroughly.

My Experience Using Ma Earth Botanicals Hair Conditioner

Usually, with other brands I have tried to date, the shampoo is runny but the conditioner is thick but with Ma Earth Botanicals, it was totally the opposite. the shampoo had a thicker consistency and the conditioner was bit runny.

As I mentioned above the conditioner was bit runny but it spread really easily to my entire hair length. While I let the conditioner work its magic on my hair, its soothing fragrance really kept me calm and peaceful. After 5 minutes, I rinsed it off and my hair felt quite soft and manageable for next 3 days.

Overall quite a great product to get your hand on.
