Jiva Vrksa Hair Wash Review
As you all know me, I absolutely first tried the hair wash by Jiva Vrksa. The hair wash is powdered form and has an herbal fragrance to it.

- Prevents hair fall, split ends, premature graying and dandruff.

My Experience with Hair Wash
The hair wash comes in simple packaging and is in powdered form. I have never used anything in powdered form to wash my hair and this was quiet new for me. Honestly, I was pretty skeptic that it would actually work.
As soon as I opened the package, I was greeted by sweet herbal smell. Now, I mixed this hair wash with water and applied onto my hair. Kept it for couple of minutes and rinsed it off.
To my surprise, it did made my hair feel fresh and clean. I just had a small complaint, I had to use a bit more water than I use while washing my hair with shampoo to remove this hair wash completely.
But I didn’t mind that.

Make a paste of this hair wash using Rose Water for improved results and avoid keeping it for more than 3 minutes. If it dries up, it might take some time to get rinsed off completely.
Since, this hair wash was completely natural and was sulfate free, it didn’t strip off natural oils from my scalp. My scalp felt soother and my hair felt frizz free. Plus the natural smell stays on for quiet sometime after I rinsed it off.
If you are a regular reader of HCS, you might know that here we test hair wash and shampoos on two parameters
- Whether it helps in removing hair oil completely – It did but not completely.
- Whether it soothes calm and keeps hair frizz free and manageable without the conditioner – It did kept my hair frizz free and manageable. However, using conditioner afterwards was really effective.

Honestly, washing my hair with this hair wash was like using a hair mask to wash off my hair and it was like getting benefits of a good hair mask and washing your hair at the same time. I loved it. 🙂
Jiva Vrksa Body Wash Review
In India, we have all used powder body wash or ubtans and have known how wonderful they are. Hence, I was super excited to give this one a try.

- Gives natural fragrance and refreshes body

My Experience with Body Wash
I still remember in mu childhood my Nani(Grandma) used make us all girls sit together and she used to apply the natural ubtans on our skin and yell at us for not taking enough good care of ourselves. This body wash smelt the same. It actually did take me back to my childhood. I am sure, most of you will relate to it if you are from India.
The smell made me more curious and super excited to give it a try. If you are wondering it smells kind of like rose petals combined with multani mitti. Its super divine.
The body wash needs to be diluted in water and then you need to apply it all over, leave it for a couple of minutes to try and then rinse it off. It actually works like a natural body scrub. It does leave your skin more softer and smoother. However, I would’t recommend you to use it daily. Three times a week is more than enough.

If you have dry skin, soak it with honey, milk or fresh cream. If you have oily skin, use Rose water to make the paste before using. It will give you more enhanced results.

Overall this body wash is quiet great and will definitely take you down the memory lane. It does make your skin smooth and glowing.

I was a powdered face wash virgin. This face wash smelt really good though.

My Experience with Face Wash
I haven’t used any powdered face wash till date. After using this one, my face felt good and clean. But sadly, this face wash was a bit hard for my skin may be because, I have dry skin. It didn’t remove makeup that effectively either. But I guess it can be used as a good morning face wash when you just need something mild.

Use it with Aloe Vera Gel and it works much better and would work for you too, if you have dry skin.

I rave for face packs. If a brand has a face pack, it is one of the first things that I add to cart. I just can’t help it. I am obsessed with face packs.

My Experience with Face Pack Wash
As I mentioned above, I just love face packs. If a brand’s face pack doesn’t work then its a complete turn off for me. As soon as I got my hands on this combo, I gave this face pack a try. I diluted it and applied it on my face. Let it dry for couple of minutes and then rinsed it off. My face felt extremely fresh and my skin felt super soft. Plus the fragrance is so soothing, it will help you relax on a tiring day.

My Overall Experience with Jiva Vrksa
As you know, I tend towards brands that are cruelty free and that don’t use harsh chemicals in their products. Jiva Vrksa being one such brand, I liked their products especially the face pack. It was the hero of this whole . The products were nicely packed in the box and I received them in 5 days completely intact. Its a different kind of happiness when you receive products that are completely safe and damage free. Isn’t it??? 🙂
