Since starting this series, and covering Garnier Fructis being good or bad for hair, Head and Shoulders causes hair loss or not, Cantu is bad for hair or not, OGX is good for hair or not. Today I will be sharing my two cents on, is Aussie good for your hair, or is it bad?

Aussie Is Bad For Your Hair Because
A lot of products from Aussie’s haircare range contain different types of alcohol that might dry out your hair. It also contains surfactants that can irritate your scalp and dry out your hair. Some products from Aussie also contain parabens such as propylparaben and methylparaben which as per Natural Skin Care Authority may lead to breast cancer.
I would recommend you to check its ingredients list before picking it up from the shelves. Also, if you have natural hair, then I would recommend looking for other natural hair alternatives as Aussie might not be ideal for people with natural hair.
You can also check out this detailed clarification by Aussie about their ingredients list as to what and why do they add these ingredients. I am sure this will help you pick the right hair product for your hair.
Is Aussie Cruelty-Free?
Although on their official website Aussie claims to be cruelty-free and is certified by Peta too it still continues to sell its products in Mainland China where animal testing is a mandatory practice. Apart from that, Aussie is owned by P&G which isn’t a cruelty-free company either.
So Aussie’s true cruelty-free status is uncertain.
Is Aussie Vegan?
Aussie doesn’t have a vegan certificate as some of their products contains honey.
Conclusion: Is Aussie Good or Bad For Your Hair?
Aussie is good for your hair if you pick the right set of products from their different haircare range. Although they have Peta certification but still have uncertain status as Aussie continues to sell in China. Plus, it contains honey in some products so it might not be a good choice for people with Vegan preferences.
Their hair products do work well and deliver good results. But I would recommend you to check the ingredients list on the bottle and decide better.
Other than that it is a good brand if it suits you.
