Have you tried the Iles Formula range of hair care products yet?
I came across Iles Formula’s website, hair care range by Wendy Iles, a well-known hairstylist from Hollywood. She spent over a decade perfecting the formula and finally came up with this three-step system of Shampoo, Conditioner, and Finishing Serum.
Iles Formula 3-Step System
What attracted me the most about Iles Formula is that she made the products completely free of harmful chemicals in hair products like sulfates, parabens, silicones nothing horrible like that. But the best part was that they don’t test them on animals first. This matters to me the most. I hate the brands that are cruel to animals.
This is exactly why, I added going cruelty-free to my new year hair resolutions list.
When I reached out, she was kind enough to send me some samples to try and share my honest reviews with you guys.
Iles Formula Shampoo Review
The Appearance
I received the samples which came in clean white-colored sachets with a matte finish. The appearance was really neat and professional. It was easy to remove the shampoo from the sachets. And these are travel-friendly too.
The shampoo has a runny consistency and is transparent in color with a subtle fragrance. The fragrance was light and stayed on for about half an hour afterward. If you want to make your hair smell good, you can try this homemade hair perfume recipe.
As I mentioned earlier, shampoo is made up of natural ingredients. When you apply add a few more drops of water to waken up the bubbles. The best part of this shampoo is that despite being sulfate-free it lathered well.
Iles Formula Conditioner Review
Wendy claims it to be the jewel of her 3-Step system.
The conditioner is thick completely opposite inconsistency when compared to the shampoo. The conditioner is white which had a subtle fragrance just like the shampoo.
Iles Formula Finishing Serum Review
The serum is neither too thick nor too runny in consistency. The serum is the light white-colored liquid that spreads evenly on your hair and smells wonderful.
Iles Formula Product Claims
The Shampoo – Shampoo is sulfate-free paraben-free and silicone-free. When you apply add a few more drops of water to waken up the bubbles. (it’s the sulfate-free shampoo that lathers because of plant juices.)
The Conditioner – Conditioner is the jewel of range. Apply to mid-lengths and ends COMB through the comb will distribute to roots exactly what you need. You feel the hair structure completely change to silk. It works INSTANTLY on ALL hair types. Rinse but on long hair, you can leave a little residue in the ends. It’s food for hair.
The Finishing Serum – Finishing serum made from real silk. Apply a small amount to mid-length and ends. After drying smooth a small amount over the outside surface of the hair.
Protects hair from heated tools UV color fade and humidity!
Don’t use hairspray or other styling products let Iles Formula deliver what we are famous for hair that feels like silk.
My Take On 3 Step System
The shampoo lathers well compared to other sulfate-free shampoos. The most interesting part was I just required a small amount of shampoo just like a dime-sized for my long Indian hair because this shampoo lathered more when added more water.
The shampoo was easy on my hair and didn’t strip off the natural oils and basically, it didn’t dry my hair out like other drugstore shampoos.
The conditioner was thick but was easy to spread on my entire hair length. I kept the conditioner on for 5 minutes and used a wide-toothed wooden comb to spread it evenly. After rinsing my hair didn’t tangle at all for the next 2 days and felt soft and manageable.
My only complaint was that the conditioner took a bit of time to come out. I had to rinse with more water than usual.
Usually, the serums that I have used so far are transparent in color and this one on the other hand was white. I just took a coin-sized finishing serum and it was really easy to cover my entire hair length.
My hair felt shiny for the next 2 days.

Summary This is one of the best hair products I have come across and will definitely recommend everyone to give it a try. It is made perfectly natural, free of harsh chemicals and they do deliver results. Aside from being on the expensive side and not available in local stores, I don’t have any complaints from their hair care range.

I would purchase it again. If budget is not an issue for you then this Iles Formula 3 step system has the power to change your hair from the first wash.
Do try this 3 step system especially the Iles formula finishing serum. It adds a beautiful shine and works as a good heat protectant too.
