But the higher price point raises doubt about whether Living Proof shampoo is good or bad for your hair. If you too are wondering about it, then read on because I will be sharing all the pros, cons, and everything in between like I did for BioSilk shampoo, Redken shampoo, Kerastase shampoo, Pureology Shampoo, and others in the past.

If you are looking for a good hard water shampoo with chelating ingredients for your color-treated hair, then look no further than this one. As you might know, clarifying shampoos remove hair color, but this Living Proof shampoo is safe for color-treated hair.
This shampoo not only works well to protect hair from hard water residue but also adds a beautiful shine to your hair. It also helps remove the effects of pollution on hair and harmful UV rays. Another thing that attracted me to this shampoo is you get a diy hard water testing strip to check the hard water level at your home.

Free of silicones, this hair oil is formulated with Living Proofs healthy hair molecule and lightweight 5 blend oil which helps tame your frizzy hair and flyaways while hydrating and nourishing your precious hair strands. It works best when you incorporate it as a part of the Indian hair oiling routine along with hot oil treatment and massaging it following the inversion method for hair growth.
You can also use it directly as a serum but I have found it works best if you warm it up a bit before using. It is a lightweight hair oil for summer that is perfect and non-greasy. However, for people with fine hair, it might weigh down your hair a bit in some cases.

Living Proof Shampoo Is Bad Because
- The products though are high quality but they are available at higher price points too, aka, Living Proof is not available at affordable prices unless you stock them up on some sale.
- The products have added fragrance and preservatives which might irritate your scalp especially if you have a sensitive scalp or irritated scalp.
- Living Proof is not a vegan shampoo brand.
- Living Proof settled a case for $37400. You can check more details about the same here.
Is Living Proof Cruelty-Free?
Yes, Living Proof is cruelty-free and does not test its products on animals. They are certified by PETA.
However, it is owned by Unilever which is not cruelty-free as they continue to sell their products in Mainland China where unfortunately animal testing is still being conducted.
If you are looking for a cruelty-free haircare brand then you can opt for Living Proof. But if you don’t consider a brand truly cruelty-free if its parent company isn’t, then you can look elsewhere.
Is Living Proof Vegan?
No, Living Proof isn’t a vegan brand. They do however offer some vegan hair care products. You need to check the list of ingredients to make sure there are no animal-derived ingredients in its formulations to find your ideal vegan product.
If you are someone who is looking for a completely vegan brand, then you can look elsewhere.
Over To You: Is Living Proof Shampoo Good Or Bad?
