Let’s discuss.

OGX Tea Tree Shampoo Review

OGX Tea Tree Shampoo With Mint Review: Best For Oily Hair?

The OGX tea tree and mint shampoo comes in a beautiful yet opaque light green colored bottle with a flip shut cap but has a bulky body which makes it not so ideal as a travel partner.

The shampoo is extremely light green color and has a thick gel-like consistency though it lathers well leaving hair and scalp squeaky clean in one go.

It makes your hair smell good for a day before vanishing completely.

Products claims

An ultra-hydrating blend of Australian tea tree oils to add moisture and strength, while nourishing your hair with replenishing moisturizing milk proteins and micro-infused peppermint oils for hydration and balance. Re-energize your hair with this unique blend of active ingredients, creating a three-in-one decadent treat. All you need for moist, smooth, and seductive hair in one irresistible formula.

My Experience Using OGX Tea Tree Shampoo With Mint

I picked up this shampoo after it was recommended by Nimisha as one of the best shampoos for oily hair. And I do have hair that gets greasy in a day after washing. So I figured why not give this one a try.

As I already stated the shampoo has a thick gel consistency and I am used to using creamy shampoos so far, so this was a whole new ball game. It took a while to get the hang of it. It does lather well but I had to dilute it in water to emulsify it to my liking.

It does leave hair and scalp clean well. Even if you do a hot oil treatment before. The mint and tea tree oil helped to soothe my itchy scalp. I also noticed a beautiful bounce in my hair which if you have oily hair, you know how flat our hair appears in a day.

My hair also had a beautiful shine. I did skip my conditioner for the first time. But I noticed after a day or two my hair wasn’t that manageable when I skipped my hair conditioner.

I don’t have hair fall issues at the moment so I won’t be able to comment on that. But I didn’t see any increase or decrease in losing my precious hair strands.

I feel I have found my hair’s ideal shampoo. I will be continuing to use it.

I believe this is a good shampoo for people with oily hair or people with oily scalp and dry hair. I would not recommend it to people with dry or curly hair and certainly not to people with recently colored hair or as it has a drying affect on hair. Also if you have sensitive skin, I would not recommend it it to you either.

Yay or Nay?

Yay.
I love the effects of this OGX tea tree shampoo on my oily hair. It does add a bounce and shine to my hair that I always desired. And it also prevents itchy scalp.

As someone who workout often, this shampoo does add a refreshing minty fragrance to my hair which I adore too.

You can give this shampoo a try if you have oily hair, greasy hair, or combination hair but don’t buy it if you have dry hair or curly hair. Meanwhile you can also check out the review of OGX Argan oil of Morocco review.

Have a bouncy hair day.
