I have hair that is chemically treated which has become dull and gets tangled often. So when I reached out to Nimisha, she recommended I give Tresemme deep cleansing shampoo a try.
As the name suggests, Tresemme deep cleansing shampoo is a clarifying shampoo that is meant to remove build-up on your hair strands by using hair conditioner, masks, hair sprays, and other washing hair with hard water.
The build-up prevents your hair strands from breathing and it leaves them clogged. So even if you use other products that are meant to soften your hair and add nourishment, the build-up prevents that.
So, I picked up this Tresemme Purify and Replenish deep cleansing shampoo for my oily and chemically treated hair. My sole goal behind using this shampoo was to get my hair detox and achieve that shine that it lacked.

Tresemme Deep Cleansing Shampoo
The shampoo comes in regular Tresemme packaging and looks chic. However, the opaque body makes it a little hard to judge the quantity left in the bottle.
It is formulated with vitamin C and extracts of grapefruit and lemon and has a fruity fragrance.
Product claims: Tresemme Cleanse and Replenish Shampoo will deep cleanse hair, clarify and gently remove build-up and heavy residues that diminish your hair’s shine. Hair will be washed off the residue from waxes, pomades, creams, sprays, and more.
How to use as per Tresemme’s official website: Coat Hair With A Liberal Amount Of Shampoo. Gently Massage The Scalp And Roots With Fingertips To Work Into A Lather. Lightly Squeeze The Shampoo From Roots To Ends And Rinse Thoroughly.
My Experience Using Tresemme Cleanse And Replenish Shampoo
My hair is oily and hair gets greasy in a day after washing it. They also get tangled very quickly. And lately, they have started to appear dull and lifeless.
So when Nimisha recommended this shampoo, I immediately gave it a try.
As soon as you open the bottle, the fruity fragrance greets your nose. It’s not too strong and it lingers for a while after rinsing. It makes hair smell good though till it lasts.
The shampoo lathers well. It leaves hair clean even if you did hair oiling treatment before washing. I usually leave olive oil overnight in my hair before washing it the next day. And it removed every bit of oil in one wash.
My hair did feel lighter, bouncier, and softer. I also noticed that after using it a couple of times, my hair has a new shine to it. They don’t appear as dull as they did before.
I also couldn’t do without my hair conditioner, because my hair started appearing frizzy. I mean I didn’t want flat hair and get tangled but I didn’t want my hair to appear frizzy either. Do you get me? 🙂
The shampoo is suiting me well. I don’t have any scalp issues or any hair fall problems either. My hair isn’t getting as greasier and tangled as before. I think I like this shampoo for oily hair.
A quick tip, if you recently messed up your hair color at home, and want to fade away your current hair color, then this is a good clarifying shampoo to remove color. You can easily lighten your hair color and undo your mistake. Cool, isn’t it?

This shampoo is suiting my oily greasy hair and I love the added shine and bounce.
I would also like to tell you that if you have dry or curly hair, then use this shampoo only once a month to remove build-up especially if you live in a place with hard water. And use a good hair conditioner afterward.
For people with oily hair, this will suit you well. You can also use it after a workout to get that fresh refreshing salon-like hair post-workout. But you might need a good conditioner too.
