La Roche Posay is a skincare brand that was founded in 1975. It is currently owned by Loreal and its products are raved by beauty experts and dermatologists equally. A lot of customers with sensitive skin have benefitted greatly from La Roche Posay products.
Is La Roche Posay Cruelty-Free?
No La Roche Posay is not cruelty-free. It sells in products in Mainland China where animal testing is unfortunately still a mandatory requirement.
Its animal testing policies state that,
“La Roche-Posay does not test any of its products or any of its ingredients on animals, anywhere in the world nor does La Roche-Posay delegate this task to others. The only possible exception is if regulatory authorities required it for safety or regulatory purposes.“
This entails that the brand won’t hesitate to test products on animals when it is required by law as it does in Mainland China.
