Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Almond Hair Oil Review

But lately, I have tried and experimented with a lot of hair products available in the market. And today I am reviewing one of them – Its Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Almond Hair Oil !!!

I tried this hair oil for hair fall control.

Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Almond Hair Oil’s Appearance

It comes in transparent oval bottle with a black flip cap which is actually not at all travel friendly.  And Trust me on that !!! The oil is basically runny consistency and it has light and pleasant smell.I am sure, it won’t be an issue to anyone.the oil gets absorbed really quick and almost after an hour my hair showed no signs of oil. That’s what I loved about it the most.

Its Pricing and Shelf Life

Rs. 68 for 95 ml and has shelf life of 3 years. (Mine was 50 ml for 30 rs)

Ingredients

Sadly it contains mineral oils and Silicones. I don’t know why they created hair oil that is loaded with such heavy chemicals.

How to use it?

As Mentioned on the Bottle,

Dispense on palm, Work through hair, Distribute evenly !!!

I use it in two ways,

By heating it using double boiler method to enhance its nutrients. Then apply concentrating on my Scalp and roots and massage for a minute. Then keeping the hair oil overnight and removing it next day after giving a little bit of steam.

The another way, I use this hair oil is by adding this oil to My DIY Heat Protectant Hair Spray. Since it is non-sticky, it does not weigh down my hair.

Its effects on my Hair

I actually bought this oil for its non stickiness and hair fall control combo tempted me. After using Pantene Pro-v Hair Fall shampoo, I kinda had more expectations from this oil.

I used this oil for 15 days. I oiled my hair 5 times and basically just saw a little bit of nourishment. But trust me this is not at all worth it. I mean the efforts I put up to use this hair and the results were irritating for me.

I basically don’t have hair fall since I use my special Hair fall control routine to control my hair fall. you can download the printable here. So, since, I didn’t have any hair fall, I couldn’t comment on that but The nourishment value of the product was next to zero.

However this oil worked amazingly well in some of my diys and hence I continue to use it !!!

Pros of Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Almond Hair Oil

  • Smells really pleasant
  • It actually is really non-sticky
  • Spreads evenly on hair
  • It is cost effective
  • Easy availability
  • Works great when used in my DIYs

Cons of Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Almond Hair Oil

  • Contains Silicones
  • Contains Mineral oils
  • Does not Fulfill what it actually promises
  • Very little nourishment
  • The packaging is not travel friendly.

Overall HCS Rating

Will I purchase again and recommend this to Product to a friend?

Only if you are looking for less sticky hair oil or want to use a hair oil to make a DIY Heat Protectant Spray or DIY Detangling Spray. Otherwise the hair oil with so many chemicals and such little nourishment is not at all worth your hard earned money !!!

Hope you guys liked this post. Feel free to comment and share your views. I would love it if you guys would share your experiences with this hair oil. Because you know, your comments makes me smile from ear to ear.

Have a lovely day!

Hi Heidi, I don’t no why she said that but Pantene’s shampoos and conditioners are just awesome !!!

  2. heidi says:

A stylist once told me that Pantene is terrible for your hair, I honestly can’t remember why. I do know that all of these products that claim to contain the natural oils really have only small amounts and aren’t usually pure but extracts. But of course, different things work for different people.

  3. Cykaniki says:

I’m facing big time hair fall problem, it started after giving birth to my youngest son, it’s been two years and I’m still treating it, currently I’ve been using Argon oil, I haven’t tried pantene but this article helps me a lot when it comes to options, thankyou

  4. Nimi Popat says:

Ya, Sadly this does not come true for hair fall control but I have a post that might help in controlling hair fall. https://www.haircaresquare.com/how-to-control-hair-fall/

  5. Nimi Popat says:

Hey Robert that is a real good suggestion. Will definitely Take that into account . Thanks

  6. Nimi Popat says:

YES most people are unaware of this hair oil by pantene.

  7. Nimi Popat says:

Thanks Zwitsy. I actually loved the product but just loved it for my heat protectant spray

  8. Nimi Popat says:

    Thanks Swayam.

  9. Swayam Tiwari says:

You are being creative here while writing your thoughts in a “hairy” style. Thanks for the tips for using a great product. Hope to read such posts more often

  10. Zwitsy says:

Oh, I thought you’ll find it awesome and perfect for your hair. But at least you’ve created a post as honest as you can. For sure that the work will depend on the type of hair of the user. But nonetheless, your post is really helpful.

  11. Maria says:

Never heard actually that Pantene has that kind of product. Here in the PH, I only see shampoos, conditioners and the hair treatment type. The hair oils are of another brand/company. This will surely help me since I have hair fall at times and I know what to avoid in the future.

  12. Stella the Travelerette says:

I would have a hard time using oil on my head. My hair is naturally extremely oily, especially in the summer. I sometimes feel like I should wash it two times a day. Since it’s not worth it, there doesn’t seem to be any point in trying this product.

  13. Rowena Conde says:

Thanks for sharing this and frankly saying your opinion about the product. I love blogs that do not consider a product in writing.

  14. Joanna says:

I’m not surprised to hear that the oil doesn’t work. I think it’s the same with most of the products that you can find on the supermarket shelves. I usually pay a little bit more but use professional products that you can only find in drugstores, not in supermarkets. And it does make a difference.

  15. Sriparna says:

Good to know! I’ve stopped using all these chemical based hair oils, since 2 yrs now. And like you, I too use home made oils. But, it’s a different story that I hardly find time for oiling at all;so it’s just once in 2 weeks 🙂
I’m tempted to read your other DIY hair care solutions!

  16. Berlin says:

Tried this product before and sadly, it didnt give what it promises. My number one hair problem is hair fall. And I yet to discover what brand really works well with my hair.

  17. ROBERT LEE says:

Good to read and as always, you are very thorough. I have a suggestion too. When you quote prices, do you mind putting in approximate figure in USD also for your readers who live elsewhere (like me)?

  18. Nimi Popat says:

That’s great. I am so glad it worked for you !!!

  19. Gandolfo Beneventi @ Forex Megadroids says:

I don’t have problems with Hair Falloff because I lost lot of hair before I found out for it, I have problems with dandruff. Pantene really helped me with just two hair-wash and putting oil on head. Now I use it once in two months and hope that I will spend it until shelf life 11.2017 🙂

  20. Nimi Popat says:

    Carola,
I agree this oil is best for the diys mentioned but not too good to be used on your scalp often. 🙂

  21. Carola says:

Good to read your article. I’m always looking for a good oil for my hair. I have curly, static hair. So I really need to treat it well. But reading this, I won’t go for this one. But I’ll try another. It’s a pity that there a so many chemicals in there. Then there are better alternatives. I like to see that you say the scent is nice. That’s important as well, but not enough 🙂
